I’m Rebekah, a licensed psychological associate (LPA) based in Boone, North Carolina.
I was born and raised in the foothills of North Carolina. I completed my bachelor's and master’s degrees in psychology at Appalachian State University.
my experience
I have over five years of experience in providing psychotherapy as well as mental health evaluations and assessments. My career in mental health began as a care-worker providing support to children and youth who experienced sexual and physical trauma.
My experiences since then have been in both inpatient and outpatient settings with focus on providing psychotherapy for depression, anxiety, social anxiety, panic disorder, OCD, PTSD, ADHD, academic stress, stressful life events, crisis situations, suicidal ideation, and self-harm.
my free time
When I'm not in the office I spend most of my time enjoying the outdoors -- hiking, skating, gardening, and going to local events. If I'm indoors I like cross-stitching, reading, and making pottery.
Otherwise I enjoy being with friends and spending time with my dog and two cats.
